You will learn four distinct\u003cbr\u003emethods for adding color to your matrix: chine collé, à la poupée, monotype, and relief\u003cbr\u003eroll.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eDrypoint is an intaglio printmaking method that does not require grounds or acids to\u003cbr\u003ecreate incised lines. This direct approach is favored by many artists for its expressive\u003cbr\u003eand spontaneous qualities. With a sharp needle or metal scribe, you can freely draw\u003cbr\u003edirectly onto the plate’s surface. For this workshop, Akua plates are used, which make it\u003cbr\u003epossible to see your underlying sketch if you wish. The lines you create will produce\u003cbr\u003eboth fine marks and burrs, resulting in rich, dark, velvety impressions that sit beautifully\u003cbr\u003eon the paper.
