FLATBED PRESS PRESENTS FAULT LINES: NEW WORKS BY SPENCER FIDLER
Please join us Saturday, March 28th from 7-9 p.m. as Art Palace and Flatbed Press present Fault Lines: New Works by Spencer Fidler in the Art Palace “Project Room.”

Fidler collaborated with Flatbed's master printers to create a group of over-scaled works of unusual power and elegance. Working on huge sheets of Japan papers, the artist printed a series of painterly soft-ground etchings based on falling bodies and a geological plate fault along the Rio Platte in Peru. Fidler’s evocative, life-size figure and jagged fault lines in gold ink till up some of the most basic emotions felt in our current, global culture. The beauty of these works balances their existential content and leaves the viewer with an ineffable sense of hope.

Spencer Fidler lives and works in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Fidler's works have been exhibited in many countries, including Mexico, Japan, Poland, Korea, Ukraine, Yugoslavia, Taiwan, USSR, France, and Italy, as well as in many galleries and museums in the U. S.
