March 1 - April 27, 2018
Opening Reception: Saturday March 3, from 5 - 7 pm
Drawing makes you see things clearer, and clearer and clearer still,
until your eyes ache. - David Hockney
The crux of Jill Wilkinson’s work is drawing: Drawing from trees, drawing from the memory of trees, drawing from the muscle memory, drawing the void, drawing from the drawing. Wilkinson finds delight in the painterly line and it shows in her drawings and recently created monoprints. Her recent works, many of which reference trees, are only the starting point for Wilkinson’s linear rapture of space. It is a space that begs you to see more.

Dear Misha Brimberry,
Greetings! I hope you had a nice time in Italy. I’m writing to follow up about my wish to buy a print by Jill Wilkinson PINE artist’s proof (the one featured on the card for her 2018 show—not the others on your website). Please let me know if it is available. Many thanks, Joe Holbach 202-413-2244
