Collection: KENNETH J. HALE

Kenneth Hale received his M.F.A. from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. His paintings, prints, and drawings have been widely exhibited and collected. One–person exhibitions have been held in numerous cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bangkok, Madrid, Dallas, San Francisco, Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Kenneth Hale's prints are represented in collections such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, The National Museum of American Art, Washington DC, the Achenbach Foundation, San Francisco, the Atlantic Richfield Collection, the American Airlines Collection, the McNay Art Museum, the Chicago Art Institute, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Modern Art Museum of Ft. Worth.

In 1979, Kenneth Hale founded and served as the Director for the Guest Artist in Printmaking Program. He has been the recipient of several University research and travel awards and in 1990 he received a Mid–America Arts Alliance National Endowment Fellowship in Painting. Professor Hale served as Chair of the Department of Art and Art History from 1996 to 2005 and is currently serving as the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the College of Fine Arts. Current creative pursuits include digital and collage works on paper.
