Collection: ALFONSO HUERTA

A native of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México, Alfonso Huerta's unique perspective blends an awareness of the beauty of everyday objects with a playful surrealism and lush tropical colors. He currently lives and works in Austin, Texas.

As an artist/printmaker, Alfonso has produced a limited edition of etchings and relief prints at Flatbed. 

He is also the illustrator for Maya Gods and Monsters written by Carol Karasik.

He has exhibited in México and has done two sponsored shows for the City of Austin, TX, USA. In addition, Alfonso has shown at the Dougherty Arts Center, St. Edwards University and a solo exhibition at La Peña Gallery.  He was the City of Georgetown artist in residence in 2024.
