Kyle Hawley

Kyle Hawley, Founder and Creative Director of Letterpress PLAY, is breaking the silence surrounding motherhood with her powerful exhibition, "Unfolding the Rainbow of Motherhood," created in collaboration with Flatbed Press. Using the unique medium of mono-printing, Hawley transforms cloth utility accessories and garments that she designed for mothering into seven life-sized prints that are embedded with colors that recall the nostalgic colors of Kodachrome.  These prints, each a contemporary masterpiece, unravel the complex emotions that encompass motherhood, from boundless joy to profound grief, whimsy to purpose. Hawley's prints serve as a testament to the tools of motherhood, reflecting her personal journey and evolution as a mother.
