Melissa Miller lives and works in Austin, Texas. Selected for the prestigious Venice Bienale in 1984, her paintings depict animal figures in the landscape in a surrealist style and a very painterly technique. Her etchings exhibit the same mystical spirit as her paintings, and allow her to maximize her masterful draftsmanship. Miller is collected in major U. S. museums and private collections.
