Alfonso Huerta will demonstrate the fundamentals of designing a woodcut, transferring your image to the wood block, carving techniques, and how to print your woodcut on our manual printing presses. The first day is devoted to the carving of your image, and the following day explores print processes and variations. You will leave with a small suite of your prints and your relief block that you can hand-print at home or bring back to continue printing from. This class includes one free Open Studio session so you can come back to use the press.
