Save the dates for the seventh Italian Intensive with Katherine Brimberry and Suzi Davidoff. This residency/workshop experience at La Romita Scuola delle Arti in Umbria is limited to a small group of no more than 14 participants. Our 2026 residency Linee e Impronte - Lines and Impressions - focuses on observation, drawing and translation. It will include exploration into drypoint engraving and monoprinting.
The residency/workshop format of the class will allow students to work at their own level in developing images and process. Students with little or no experience will feel comfortable in this course and more experienced students will continue to build on their skills and knowledge. The twelve-day session includes instruction, room and board plus daily excursions to nearby Umbrian hill towns and historic sites including Assisi, Orvieto, and Spoleto.
With their combined expertise in printmaking and drawing and their years of experience in printmaking collaborations and team-teaching, Katherine and Suzi will provide each student with individual attention, creative inspiration and challenges.
Tuition: $4500 due 60 days before the start of the workshop. An early bird commitment before December 31st will gives you a discounted rate of $4350. Discounts are also available for double occupancy rooms and previous La Romita students.
A $700 deposit will secure your place and all but $50 is refundable up to 60 days before the workshop.
