This workshop is for artists wanting to create etchings from hand-drawn transparencies or modified laser copies. The emphasis is on the hand-drawn or hand-modified image. Workshop attendees can create up to two etched plates that are 5 x 8 inches in size.
This workshop will concentrate on learning how to create the plates and learning variations of how to print from the plates. Printing techniques of chine collé and viscosity relief rolls on the plates will be taught.
This class is open to all levels and no previous printmaking experience is required. Participants of the class will also receive a bonus "Open Studio" session where they can continue to print in the Community Studio.
