Bring a little unknown into your work. Students will create monotype paintings on plates using drawing and painting techniques with tools that range from paintbrushes and brayers to cotton balls and cut-out stencils. On the second day, we will also create monotypes using watercolor and collage elements. We will collaborate with the press to transfer these different types of paintings to paper. The results may surprise you.
No experience necessary!
This class is designed for artists of all levels of experience. It is an excellent way to learn how to use Flatbed's Community Studio, and with this class, participants receive a free Open Studio session to continue printing.
